Planting Churches: How and Why We Plant
Virginia Vision was launched in 1989 as a program of the VEF to plant dynamic new churches in high-growth areas under-served by independent Christian churches. To date, Virginia Vision has planted more than 20 new congregations with several more in various stages of planning and development.
Virginia Vision's new churches average over 300 in attendance and celebrate another 250+ conversions each year!

Planting Churches: Church Plants in Development
Church planting under Tim Coles direction is a high priority for the Virginia Evangelizing Fellowship.
The next four plants will be in Bristol, TN/VA, Danville, VA, Silver Spring MD, and Morgantown, WV.
Discovery Church opens in the Bristol YMCA on Sept. 11, 2011 as a "Border" plant, with their ministry center in one state (VA) and the worship services, across the street, in another (TN).
Catalyst Church is wholly funded by churches and groups in West Virginia and southwest Pennsylvania, including the Mountaineers for Christ and New Life for West Virginia who invited the VEF to use their assets to manage the launch of this congregation. They will launch on October 2, 2011.
The Danville Project arose from a local Fusion group and is a collaborative effort with many regional church partners.
The Silver Spring Project is another plant initiated by a regional network of church planting partners with the goal of planting at least one new church in the Northern VA/DC Metro region every other year.
